Denver Burger Battle

100% ground beef. Habanero cheese. Crispy bacon, roasted jalapenos, fresh strawberries, and crispy fried onions. This is what makes a champion. This is what makes the Fire Burger, our 2017 entry into the Denver Burger Battle.

After our glorious People’s Choice victory last year, we’re ready to do it again with this one-of-a-kind masterpiece that pays homage to the brave firefighters who saved the Cricket when our kitchen caught fire late last year.

For those of you who don’t know, the Denver Burger Battle is the award winning charity competition of the 16 best burgers in Colorado all in one night. It’s a tough fight and our competitors are truly some of the most delicious burgers Denver has to offer, but we know we’ve got the best contender. Why?

Well, since 1945 we’ve served up a little more than just burgers, and we’ve got the stories to prove it. From first dates to family traditions and thousands of cherished memories in between, Denver’s people have been an integral part of the Cricket just as much as the Cricket has been a part of Denver. That means our burgers are made with that extra special ingredient: love. And our Friends of the Cricket have an everlasting supply of it.

It’s no small undertaking to keep the Cricket’s traditions alive by creating burgers fueled by the stories and moments that matter to our community. But for our amazing Head Chef, Daniel Ramirez, it comes naturally. “My passion is to see people happy,” he says. “I love Denver.”

Thanks to Daniel, our customers, and that sweet jalapeno/strawberry combo (hey, taste matters!), we’re confident we’ll have a great showing at this year’s Denver Burger Battle, and retain our People’s Choice title.
